Happy MLK Day!!

Well,  my DH is still not getting around as good as we had hoped but he is making progress everyday.  I spent a little time crafting the other day and almost completed a small fall album using some of the scraps from the pumpkin album.  This is a Stack the Deck album made with envelopes. I made this after watching a Ustream by Laura Denison on The Paper Trail.  I love this binding technique and am working on another album but the new one is for Valentine's Day.

This is the front cover, I used a sticker from the Bo Bunny Forever Fall collection and a sunflower made with paper from the collection.  All of the cardstock in this album is Stampin Up, some old colors and some new colors.

This is the inside front cover.
This is the first page with the tag pulled out.

This is the back cover.  I don't know why this one is so off color but it does not show the colors well.
This is the complete cover for the album.

I have not finished embellishing the pages completely.  I am going to add some flowers, bling, etc., when I have a little more time and won't be interrupted as much.

I hope everyone has a safe holiday, if you are celebrating.

Delo

The last of the Fall mini

Since I haven't yet had a chance to do anything new, I am going to post the rest of the Fall mini album pages.  My DH is getting around a lot better now so hopefully in the next week or so I can get back to a more normal routine and get some crafting done.

This is page 10.  The wagon is all hand made by stamping with Impression Obsession Woodgrain stamp on white cardstock inked with Scattered Straw and Wild Honey distress inks, then cutting along grain lines to make the boards.  The pumpkins are a Quickuts die that has been embossed with some Cuttlebug folders (Swiss Dots, Textile and Swirls), the wheat is cut with TH Autumn Gatherings die.    The wheels are made with 1/4" strips of white cardstock and circles cut with Nestabilities circle dies, it has been inked with Vintage Photo and Weathered Wood distress inks.

The wheat at the top of the wagon is pull tabs for 4 photo mats.

This is page 11.  This page has a photo mat and is decorated with Petaloo Color Me Crazy flowers.  They have been sprayed with Sun Sisters, Sugar Maple and Dragonfly Glimmer Mists.  The wooden buttons, leaf buttons and brads are from the Bo Bunny Forever Fall collection.  As well as the chipboard pieces.

This shows the tag pulled out.  The tag is made with a Memory Box stamp and die, Blank Ticket.  It is made on white cardstock inked with Scattered Straw, Wild Honey and Fired Brick distress inks, then sprayed with Gold Glimmer Mist.

This is the back cover.  The large tag is from the journaling paper from the BB Forever Fall collection and the sunflower is made with McGill punches and paper from the collection.

I had fun making this and I want to thank Kathryn Kreiger from Life on the {Scrap} beach for making this album on UStream.  Kathryn has some great tutorials on her UStream channel, you can find a link on her blog.

Hope everyone has a great week ahead.

Hugs,
Delo

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I am posting some more of the Fall mini pages.

I haven't had a chance to work on anything new since my DH got out of the hospital and it looks like it might be a while yet.  Hopefully, I can get back to coloring with my Copics soon.  I went to the Copic Color website where they have a picture and listing of the new 2012 colors. Just click on the link in this paragraph to see them.

On to the mini.
This is page 7.  It is done with a striped scalloped border that is attached with foam tape.  The large die cut is one from Noteworthy in the collection.  The bling is from the Bo Bunny Forever Fall collection.  The tag is made from white cardstock stamped with Impression Obsession's Maple Leaf stamp.  The background is colored with TH Distress Broken China using the corner of an ink applicator. Then using a brush colored with Glimmer Mist Dragonfly and dried.  The leaves are colored with TH Fired Brick, Peeled Paint and Wild Honey colored one color at a time then colored with Glimmer Mist Candy Apple Red, Olive Vine and Peach Delight, drying in between each color.

This shows the tag pulled out.  There is a mat for a photo on the page behind the tag.
This shows the back of the tag which is covered with patterned paper from the Bo Bunny Forever Fall collection and the sunflower is a rub on from the collection.

This is page 8.  The tree has Crushed Olive Distress Stickles added to look like moss hanging.  The pocket is acetate and has one of the tags, a button with a brad, a dragonfly with a bling trail all from the collection added to the front.  The leaves are cut from the collection paper with TH Autumn Gatherings Sizzlits die. The tag is also from the collection, the journaling paper.

This is page 9.  It is a pumpkin patch with signs on stakes in it.  The pumpkins are a Quickuts die and have been embossed with Cuttlebug folders and the stamps used are from Art Warehouse.

This shows the photo mats opened.  They will hold a 2x2 photo.

I think this is all for now. Hope everyone has a blessed, healthy, prosperous New Year.
Hugs,
Delo
