Happy 4th of July!!

Well, I made it back from San Angelo, TX with lots and lots of bug bites. I went to see the doctor today to try to get some relief from the itching. She prescribed some antibiotics, histamines and cortisone cream. I am pretty much covered with bites on my fingers, hands, arms, face and neck, so I am very uncomfortable and we are leaving on Friday for a trip to Estes Park, CO. I have so many bites on my hands (even the palms) and fingers I can't hold a marker now to color. I am glad I finished my card below before I went to San Angelo last weekend.

The patterned paper and cardstock are from my stash and are several years old. The stars at the bottom are a garland from the dollar store. The stars on the oval are an old EK Success punch and the star shaped bling is from my stash and were colored with B26 and R27; the starburst is a Bo Bunny Winter Joy embellishment colored with B26 and R27 to match.

I colored this on Cryogen cardstock with Copic markers. I used: skin E000, E00, E11, R20; bathing suit B21, B24, B26, R24, R27; eyes B21; hair YR23, Y23; cap C00, R24 ,R27, Y02;  sea BG10; seaweeds G94, G40; fish YR65, Y02; sand and rocks E42, E25.

I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July. Please remember what we are celebrating and thank someone who has given a part of their lives to keep us free.

I will be home and ready to color as soon as my hands heal (it could be 10-14 days for the hands to heal).

Hugs,
Delo

It's Friday!!!

I will be heading to San Angelo, TX this evening with my BFF Crystial to go to one of her grandson's (Hi Jack!) birthday party. The party will be on Sat. then we will be going shopping!! I love going to San Angelo, the old downtown area has a lot of little boutiques and some great places to eat. Fun, fun, fun!!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Christmas Challenge {with sketches}
DP2 Challenge -Flowers, flutters, fairies, fancy folds

This is a Mo Manning digital stamp "I Even Love the Box" from Mo's Digital Pencil. She is colored on Cryogen cs.

I used this same image before but colored it as a little boy.  This is one of my favorite Christmas images and it will probably find its way on to some of my Christmas cards this year.

The card base is SU Pink Passion that I stamped all over using Versamark ink and an old SU Merry Christmas greeting from A Greeting for All Reasons. Then I used Perfect Pearls in Perfect Gold over the stamped areas. I also did the holly on the Gable Green cs the same way, the holly is from the same stamp set.  The little girl was hand cut and pop dotted onto the gold paper (from my stash) then adhered to the Gable Green cs. This was then pop dotted with thinner pop dots to the card base.

The large rose and rose leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the smaller cream roses are Prima. I added Gold Lame Smooch ink to the edges of all of the roses.

All of the cut outs are Spellbinder Nestabilities in the Big Scalloped Ovals. The ribbon is from my stash, some I picked up at Walmart several years ago.

She was colored with Copics. Skin E00, E11, R20, mouth R83; pajamas R81, R83, G20, G21; box E31, E34, E35; hat R35, R37, R39, C00, C1; bow Y00, Y11, Y15, Y23, YR23, YR24; paper C00, C1, R27; tag G28, E41; baby is written over with Spica Pink.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I know mine will be wonderful a weekend with a pool, a hot tub, plenty of shopping and no husbands. Yeahhhhhh!

I hope the weather today is like yesterday. It was cool (never thought I would say 96 is cool) for this time of year. The wind was just a breeze most of the day and not 30 mph like it's been. I  hope the weather for the next few days is as nice to give the firefighters a little break.

Boy is it hot!!!!!!!!!!

Well things have begun to slow down some and I think I just might like this retirement. We went to Roswell on Monday to get several things for my studio but came back mostly empty handed. I did pick up some new cushions for the patio chairs. I am getting really excited to get the fencing up and grass planted, maybe by this weekend we can find everything we need to at least get started. The new air conditioner we put in last weekend has really made a difference since we have been having this 100-110 degree heat. I just hope we get some rain soon, the fires we are having are getting a little scary. The Loop fire by the Carlsbad Caverns National Park came to within a few miles of the house.

Tilda is colored with Copics. Skin E000, E00, E21, R20; hair E11, E13, E17, E19; dress R00, R11, R12;  slip W00, W1; socks R00, R11; shoes W00, W1, W5, W7 then coated with Crystal Accent; peony R81, R83, R85, Y18,YG63, YG67 then I used Diamond Stickles in the center of the peony.
