New day, new way of life!

Well, each and every day I am learning more and more about keeping up my blog, how to add badges and links, etc., now all I need are some followers. I am practicing every day with my Copics and think I might actually be getting better, I am entering more challenges and looking forward to each of them.

I hope I will be able to schedule some classes to teach Copics soon. I am really looking forward to doing this since I enjoy sharing what I know with others.

This is my first full day of not working but tomorrow is actually my first day of retirement.

Hope everyone has a great day!

One more day! Plus one hour.

Well, tomorrow is the last full day of work for me, I have one hour to work on Thursday and then I am officially retired. I am super excited, now I can stay home, spend some time with my DH & fur babies, practice with my Copics, just relax and learn to sleep like most of the rest of the world.

This is a card I made for a dear friend of mine who is moving away. I used Stampin Up cardstock for all of the card, the designer paper is from a very old paper stack, I used a Magnolia stamp "Tilda-Hello Little Butterfly", Prima flowers, McGill's embossing butterfly punch, Martha Stewart's edge punch, nestabilities oval and scalloped oval, the sentiment is SU from several years back, the butterfly and the flowers are edged in Smooch inks Silver and Copics to color Tilda.

Old Friends easel card

WOOHOO!! Tomorrow is virtual Friday at work (the last day of the work week) even though it is only Thursday.

I am posting a new card I finished, it is my first easel card. This is a Sarah Kay stamp, I don't remember the name but I really love this image.

It is colored with Copic markers, I did not write down the colors I used on this but wanted to post the card anyway.  I used an old Stampin Up sentiment on it, It Takes a Long Time to Grow an Old Friend, the cardstock is also SU, the image is stamped on Cryogen Iridescent cardstock and the patterned paper is from and old Sizzix paper pad I had.

The wings on the dragonflies have Stardust Stickles and the gems on the butterflies and dragonflies are i-Rock stones. The ribbon is from Walmart and is Kendra in white.

Happy Mother's Day

Well today is Mother's Day, and I want to wish each Mother, Grandmother, God Mother, Soon-to-be Mother and everyone who has been a substitute Mother a very happy, joyful and peaceful Mother's Day!

I am now on the count down to R-DAY (retirement). I have ten more working days and am finally getting excited and nervous about it. My last official working day will be May 31 but my last day worked will be May 25. I can't believe I will no longer be getting up at 3:15 a.m. to go to work. I will now have the time to keep my blog updated regularly and will be able to craft when I feel like instead of when I can find the time.

I am posting another of the cards I made with a Magnolia stamp (Princess Tilda) and Copic markers. I don't remember for certain which colors I used on this except for the dress. It was done with R35, R37 and R39. She has Stardust Stickles in her headband, I used the silver atyou spica pen for the buttons on her shoes, a Spellbinders lacy square behind her and a Martha Stewart punch for the lace behind that, the printed paper is from an old paper stack, the cardstock is SU confetti vanilla, cream flowers are Prima roses and the burgundy is one I had in my stash.

I added Stardust Stickles to the B28 on the butterfly. I used a white Sharpie extra fine poster paint pen for the highlights.
