Not a very good blogger!

Well, I haven't been a very good blogger lately but it seems like life just keeps getting in the way. There has been so much going on and with the holidays here I feel like I am being pulled a million different directions.

My BFF lost her uncle Tues. I spent most of the day with her and today I had a dental appointment that has left me feeling terrible. Tomorrow I will be cooking cornbread so Sat. I can make dressing and bake a turkey for the CARS Club Christmas dinner.

Next week I will be going with my DH to get all of the pre-op and paper work done for his bi-lateral knee replacement on 12/13. He has to have a couple units of blood drawn in case he needs it during the surgery, x-rays, ekgs, etc.  Then he will be in the hospital 3-5 days after the surgery (this is something I am not looking forward to).

I am hoping I will get some images colored while he is in the hospital and I am sitting up there with him.  I have been working on a Fall album that is coming together well but I am still waiting on delivery of some of the products I need to complete it.

For now the only thing I have to post is a Halloween album I made.  This is a paper bag album made using Laura Denison's paper bag Halloween album as the inspiration. I found this on You Tube.

The front cover. I used a Tim Holtz apothecary jar with an SU label from the Halloween collection in the holiday mini. This Halloween collection and SU cardstock are used throughout the album. The cover is canvas from Walmart painted with acrylic paints (black, green and copper), the skeleton, gray netting, mouse, spider and beads on the TH d-ring through the spine are all from the Dollar Tree. The ribbons I used on the d-ring are ribbons from my stash, the Happy Halloween letters on the front are also from my stash. The chain is from Walmart, it was silver colored but I used Ranger alcohol inks to color it a copper and black color. The closure is a TH Hitch Post and jump ring.

This is the inside front cover. I made a grunge rose from SU black cardstock and I used the gray netting to cover where it is attached to the chipboard. The stamp is a digital from SU it goes with the paper collection. I added Stardust Stickles to the flourishes on each end.
This is the first page made with a paperbag, each page has a tag in the bag that can be used as photo mats or for journaling or both using both sides.

This is another digital stamp from the collection. I printed this on naturals cardstock and inked the edges.
This shows how the bottoms of the bags can be used for pockets.

This page shows how I used some of the creatures from the dollar store on the pages. I had to wire these on, the plastic would not stay glued down not even with Glossy Accents.

This is the last picture I am posting for the night. I will have some more of the album posted later.
I really enjoyed making this, so there will probably be more albums similar to this one in the future with some Copic colored images incorporated into the projects.

Have a wonderful rest of the week and a great weekend.
