I don't know where the week has gone. I think having my hubby at home Fri. through Mon. has really made my weeks short. I don't know about most of you ladies but when he is here, he wants me to be right with him a lot of the time or he wants to be on the go all of the time. I love him but I don't know about this retirement and being together all of the time.
I finally finished a card to post. This is a sliding pop up card that uses a luggage tag as the pull out.
I will be posting this on the following challenges:
Magnolia Stamp Lovers -Primary colors
Papertake Weekly Challenge -Anything goes
A Spoon Full of Sugar -Party time
PaperPlay Challenges - 2 or more images
Through the Craftroom Door -Fun with textures
The images are Magnolia minis Tilda Pirate, Edwin Pirate and Barrel and Skull; Tiddly Inks digital the Treasure Map and Pirate Fun. All of the images are colored with Copics.
This is the outside of the card it is made with cardstock and patterned paper from my stash and I have no idea which company makes them. The flowers are made with two Sizzix dies TH Tattered Florals for the small flower and the roses are made from the 3-D Flower die, the smaller of the two. The foliage is made with the MS Branch punch and Sizzix's Branch and Leaves die. The bling in the centers of the flowers and the card front are from Studio G and Jolee's. I cut the Happy Birthday with a Nestability Deckled Rectangle die and all of the edges of the card, greeting and flowers are inked with TH Old Paper or Frayed Burlap Distress Inks.
The inside of the card before pulling the tab. You can see the tab at the bottom with the ribbon attached.
This is the inside with the tab pulled, it raises the images up. I pop dotted the skull and treasure chest as well as Tilda and Edwin. The sand at the bottom has jewels of all kinds on it. I took some of the Studio G bling and colored them with Copics, I also used a Viva Decor Pearl Pen and made pearls on the beach. You can see the skull on the pull tab in this picture, he has Crystal Accents added to him. The trees and bushes on the treasure map have flowersoft on them.
This is a close up of the images. The palm tree were hand cut without a pattern.
I used the following Copics on all of the images.
Tilda and Edwin E000, E00, E21, R20, E31, E35, Y23 ,E41, E43, E44, R81, R83, R85, E47, C7, C3, B91, B93, B95, B97, G12, G20, R22, R24, R27, R29, G40, G82. Map, skull, jewels and treasure chest E40, E41, E81,Y28, Y32, G05, G12, YG05, YG61, YG63, V12, V15, V17, C00, C0, C1, C2, C3, C5, BG10, BG11, R29, E31, E34, E35, B69. There are probably some I missed but this is most of them. I had so many markers on my desk I did not have room to work. LOL I also used Stickles in Gold, Silver, Orange, Yellow, Diamond and Stardust.
This is looking down with the tab pulled out. If I had thought about this I would have stamped something in the blank space behind the images. Oh well, this is the first of this card but probably not the last so I learned something from making it.
This is the sentiment I stamped, and you can really see the skull now. This is from the Magnolia mini Barrel and Skull image without the barrel.
I found the instructions for this card on You Tube. The instruction were by UKmaryanne. Her blog is
Scrappy Sticky Inky Mess She has some great videos and I will be going back time and again to see them. The pop up slider cards she made are amazing. It is well worth the time to watch.
Well, I guess this does it for me today. I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend.
Hugs,
Delo
